I have a hard time selling knives or guns. Whenever I think about it I remember the reason I purchased that particluar piece to begin with and it always seems to still make sense to keep it.

Andy, I am with you. I have never sold a Rat, or a Busse or a Dog. I have given a couple away to relatives, but the idea of selling them seems wrong some how. It seems like I should be buying more, not selling.

Ditto.

Although I have few junk pistols that I've inherited either from my father in law or my father. I'm waiting for a buy back of some type that offers a decent price on turning a gun in (more money than a trade in). Then I'll take the cash and turn it around on something of quality in either the knife or gun department.

Peace
Jerry

Tony G,

Yeah, a good reason to pick up some cheap “Sat. night specials”. I’ve seen junker Jennings .22s as cheap as $20 at gunshows before. I bet that’d piss ‘em off. What are you going to buy with the $? More, better guns! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

What are your issues with micarta, Paul? I'm curious to know.

Micarta and emotional baggage. This has the makings of a good drama, or at the very least a lot of snide remarks on my part.

I just think micarta is best on little knives not used for chopping (vibration!) or collector 'pretty' knives that go in safes or on walls.. If you actually want to use a big knife give me res-C every time! (Also res-C protects you from heat, cold and electric shock)

Off you go Jerry!..
