Yeah now that you mention it that does seem like an obvious question.
There is a good chance of it not being a good steel like Sr77 if they are made by another company. There is probably some company that makes challenge coins and other similar stuff. Sorry if I spoiled some of the majic but I would love it if Dan stamped them out himself in the shop and then put the coins through the same heat treat as the knives. I have thought that with really good steel being so expensive we could stamp our own coins of S30V or INFI (unhardened)and they would have an intrinsic value. In Canada we have 1 and 2 dollar coins instaed of bills and I love it. I was sad when they cancelled the 5 dollar coin. During apartied
no ome wanted to deal with SA so they started issuing gold coins called Kruggerrands and that was the end of that problem. I am going to have some silver viking style arm bands made next time I have some extra cash.

I'll take a guess, I say it's made out of Pewter. That's what it looks like to me.

When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

I am sure they are either stainless or some form of alloy.
Since they won't be used for chopping trees, stainless or alloy makes more sense.

Rust and tarnish resistant would be much more reasonable and practical for this type of item / coin.

I am sure they are made by an outside company, not Dan or Jerry.

It wouldn't be worth their time or effort to purchase and set up tooling for a single or even a couple of runs of coins.

I heard they were made from Unobtainium mined from a Russian Meteor strike in Siberia!
