Your son has a great collection started. An SYKCO will be quite a nice addition to it.

Wow Pit Jr. has a great and very practical collection.
That Mora is about the perfect first knife for a boy. It is sharp ,has a great double guard ,is easy to find if you drop it and won't close on your fingers.
It is even cheap enough so any learning experiences won't be to painfull.
Now a nice little YKCG would be a great knife now that he has shown good judgment with the Mora.

That's a nice little collection he has, I too had a buck folder, and a swiss army style knife when I was young.
