Entirely true. Check out this sheath magic.

I'm working on a new one that fits the HR and HRLM. I'll show ya later.

Thanks. At least you tried. I don’t think people understand how difficult these are to make until they try it themselves. My Howler sheath I recently made took me about 3 hours to make I think it was. Have you seen my tutorial? It might help you with the design if you haven’t seen it. The layout is the same, just a smaller knife. Same method though. If I get some spare time, I’d like to make a couple HR sheaths and put them on eBay. I haven’t seen any affordable HR sheath options available yet. My sheath also fits either the HR or the HRLM. I was waiting until I make another one to post pics, because it had been so long since I made one I forgot and skipped a step on mine. One of the edges of the sheath opening I forgot to tape, so it’s just bare cardboard.

Andy,
yes i've seen your tutorial; very informative!
That's how i've been carrying my HRLM! in my pocket with a cardboard sheath!

Swamp Rat store has a Sweet-lookin Buy Brown kydex w/ tek-lock for HRLM for $48 + $9.95 shipping.
https://www.shop.ratknives.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=69&categoryId=3

i came *this* close to pullin the trigger.. but tryin to conserve ammo for DF and others..

Yeah, those fancy sheaths are nice, but expensive. I don’t like the high ride of kydex though, I’d prefer leather myself.

Yeah, you could always buy both and then sell the one you like least.

they say to investors.. you should not become emotionally attached to the product you're selling. be stone cold.
..or is that to drug dealers?

anyways..

so one time my old man got "attached" to this ugly piece of vacant land he bought for like.. less $ than a '68 Chevy cost brand new.. like 4 digits or something stupid.

a Decade ago some developers offered him $500,000 for it, repeatedly! he turned 'em DOWN!
oh man.. i just about puked.

then the local economy took a downturn.. it just sat for the longest time.

Recently he ended up selling it for a hair under $300,000.
so.. he still scored mind you.. but just had to wait longer.. and got less.

moral of the story..

i'm not sure.. but i don't think i'd make a very good "investor" if it comes to knives..
