I was never a fan of the tan res-c with black blades. Tan and tan is fine, and a green handle with tan, black or green blades would look good. However, I am perfectly fine with black, and am adverse to anything that would hurt pricing. The pricepoint here is unbeatable.

The black is fine for me from any functional viewpoint. It works. Whatever color Dan decides to make his knives in I will buy.
While color won't change whether I purchase a new SYKCO knife or not I'd like to see some different colors just for the sake of something different. After all, there is a collection aspect to some of our purchases too. Different colors add a little spice to the offerings. For example, I found the black and tan models that Swamp Rat offered very appealing.
And H-D *is* a heretic. And an infidel.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It's all the same to me. They are all Busses anyway. In some models I prefer Rats, some Dogs, some Hogs. But I like this forum the best because it is the best. And the price of Scrap Yard knives is a lot easier on my budget than the others.

Black is fine for me, but I want LOGOS on all the knives. I don't need no stinkin' sterile knives. I want everyone to know I have Scrapyards.

Most of us know if Dan could do it, he would. He gives us the best deal he can, and then some. It hasn't been a year for this forum but I wonder how many times their have been threads like this, I have made one myself!
I'm sure every time a run comes out he doesn't make a list; "milk, bread, gallon of black crinkle coat!" I'm guessing he has a deal with a supplier at a set price (probably way less than other colours) and passes the savings on to us.
Most of us truly appreciate the price he gives us here and it is one of our number one factors in buying SY. Like on the coin it says; "Superior Performance to Price Ratio" (twice!).
In Dan and Patti I trust! and thank...

I'll be honest I really don't care too much what colour my knives are but I would be interested to hear from Dan if the coloured coatings do cost more to purchase....I would be suprised if they did !!!

I don't have a problem with all black exactly, I just think it is very military. For a civie, a grey or even unfinished steel blade would be less likely to get you into trouble over-seas than black..
