All this "lightening wood" appears to be rotten. This entire episode is the work of divine forces. Praise Odin that I was protected from Thor's wrath. I must make an offering to Thor to appease him.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Praise Odin. Now the sacrifice? Food, liquer or virgin? It might be a waste of the last two.

I have a solid pewter one that has a nice patina from wearing it.

That's some cool pics Vic! But nobody has asked the really important question about this pic... How's that Cranberry beer? It looks good, I've never had the Cranberry though... Looks like a good cure for a summer cold!

I'm not a big fruit beer fan, but the small amount I had left after pouring the libation tasted refreshing. Right now I'm drinking iced orange juice. Too much alcohol is not good when fighting a cold. I am sure that some who viewed this thread think I'm nuts. For me, it is all symbolic of the actual forces of nature and the good fortune I have. There are still many mysteries of nature that are far beyond our understanding. Can't hurt to acknowledge my total dependence on nature's whims once in a while with some ritual, reverence, and humility. One bolt of lightning, one flood, one torando, and all is gone.

I agree, I never play either. But you know what they say; someone has to win, and you can't if you don't buy a ticket.
Glad it all worked out well for you.
