That pic of the SR makes me wish I'd gotten one in that size. You still have a chance. They should have more in “two weeks”. I changed my mind! the HRLM grew on me, and I'm keeping it! I love mine! I think it’s way better than the original. I’d like to see a Howling Fat LM too.

It has a bigger handle. I have big hands and the beak on the butt wasn't very comfortable. Also I like the smaller choil/longer edge length. I don't really need the choil, since I always also have my Shaker with me and can use it for finer work. I also like the heftier feel of it.

This may sound blasphemous here but.. for a 4" blade i think i actually prefer the HRLM over the SS4!

so.. when you get Your SS4.. lemme know what you think!

yeah it's interesting bld522..i haven't used the Gen 1 Res-C HR.. so dunno about that.
I thought for sure the Infi vs SR-101 would be a no-brainer.. on paper i looked at all the specs, and i had already made my decision to keep the SS4 and sell the HRLM (so i thought)

BUT when i took both out to chop & use, that HRLM just started shining brighter for me! Its extra heft, blade geometry, maybe i have an obsession with its wide belly blade shape too, i dunno!

it's really hard for me to put into words.. just.. feeling in my hand, and during use.

So that really changed my outlook.. to not pre-judge a knife before i've gotten a chance to USE it first!
And.. i'm sooo glad i scored an HRLM when i did
