OP terry13111 Junk Yard Dog T Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 2,199 Central NY	After using my SS4 for chopping food, I washed it thoroughly and covered it in mineral oil. That got me thinking, is there any negative effect that comes from using too much oil? How about with the kydex sheath? I can't imagine any, but I am no metallurgist.

It depends on who made it..If it were crafted by rain or myself, then you are fine and it wont be harmed if it were made by others, the oil will disolve it in a matter of hours!!!
