I was hoping for a Scrapper 7. The one at Blade was either 3/16" or 1/4" thick and a flat grind. It was light and nice. That would do me. My Fatty will chop its way out of the jeep.

you just had to bring that up!!! every now and then i get that "ahhh, my knife collection is just the way i like it" feeling. then vic has to show his LMF2 or some sick tanto i've never seen, or bring up the scrapper 7 just to bring to my attention that at the moment i don't own a 7" knife or a sick tanto or an lmf2.

(I still love ya, vic. how bout some more pics of the knives i mentioned?)

then i go over to the HI forum and what do you know, the Pen knife (which inspires my own knife designs) has shown its face to remind me it exists and i don't have that one either. the torment never ends.

i take comfort in my mora's, though, on principle. that sparks an idea for a new thread.

I've been looking at that Pen knife, too. Nice recurve. Sort of a mini-bolo.

Camp Tramp is a great knife, I liked it so well that I bought two of them. It is a great choice for an "all around" knife. But I would still go with the Dog Father because for me it is just a bit better.

I would like to see some photos of this Pen knife you have mentioned.

I like the HookGuard better than the Camptramp because I find the recurve a more usefull blade. The CampTramp is almost perfect as for as proportion though.
It looks like the little black icon you would see in the dictonary next to the word "Knife".

I could take my SS4 or YardKeeper,my Hawk ,Parker Hale rifle with 60 rounds ammo, Vader pack with EDC kit(Fenix L1P, Gerber Multitool and soon a Samsung M620 Upstage smartphone) ,my best outdoor clothes and hop on my bike and take off for a couple years easy. I love all my stuff but it would be pretty tempting to pare it down drastically. I may have to take my laptop.

I simply cannot answer this one....

Okay, I will. My first Peter Bauchop witch. A knife I have wanted since buying my first SOF mag at a magazine shop with my very own money. Big deal to a little guy.

My first witch was actually used in combat in Africa, sold to a dealer, refinished and sold to me. The sheath was made by the guy who made Chris Reeve's sheaths, when he lived in SA.

Yep, the witch. D2, with kalgard coating.
