Been looking to upgrade my Pelican M6.

The Fenix P3D seems nice and while it lacked a tactical switch, it has nice output and better run time.

Two days after ordering the P3D, they released the limited model with the Rebel100 LED, which will give ~15 - 20% more output at the same battery life, so one of them is on the way now too!

As a big bonus, they have free international shipping!

Looking forward to receiving them and seeing how they work. Anybody here have one?

I bought a Surefire P6 yesterday at Cabelas...cause I needed it. I really wanted to get a Surefire with the P60 light platform because there are so many upgrades available.

On a Fenix note, I have a Fenix P0D Rebel 80 on order but won't receive it until the end of the month. I have a LumaPower 303 on the way too. Flashlights are just a little bit too much like knives....

I'll post a mini review once I get the first one. The rebel100 was a pre order so it will be a while.

Given their prices and the general opinion over at candlepower forums it seems like a good bet. The biggest thing they say is that they aren't up to the build quality on surefire... well comparing a $50 light to a $300 light is kind of difficult.

Whew, good thing I only spent $58 plus tax on the Surefire 6p It's not an LED but can be upgraded to LED. I wanted something just dead simple but bright for car use. I didn't go "all in" on the Fenix because I wanted to try the UI. Seems a little complicated for me but probably not for an uber computer whiz like you, CO

Even with the overinflated lumen rating on the fenix lights, you will still get a good 130 or so out of them. not bad for 2hr run time and $60!

oh i am so getting one of these. my neighbor just got a g3 and the light output is great, but only an hour burn time...

80 lumens is the max output, but i wonder how much the light output is after hour 2 or 3. it just says 12 hours of "useful" light.

I've got a fenix p3d and a surefire U2 and their outputs are about the same, really.

The surefire has a better throw and wider corona.

The contest of ~60 dollar fenix versus 280 dollar surefire is a pretty clear victory for surefire.

The fenix is more carryable, except for its lack of a pocket clip.

I like the U2 more than the P3d, in general.

that p3d looks pretty capable as well. i like the ability to choose your output.
