I sent my Ruck and AK-47 to Rainwalker for some pants. I wanted a folded design (not sandwich) in basic black for the AK, and standard ‘natural tan’ for the Ruck. I requested a loop at the top of each for possible belt wear on either side, and I wanted some sort of tie downs on the back so I can add a ‘drop leg’ strap/attachment. I think the Ruck on a belt with a drop leg strap just a bit above the knee would be ‘the’ setup. I also wanted some places to help me secure it to a pack/truck/ or even wear it on the back shoulder. Lastly, I specified no scabbard overlap onto the scales, but rather use a retaining loop/button.
I did not want to go too fancy on material, so I won’t feel bad abusing the rig and tossing it around.
Rainwalker delivered big time!
Very sturdy, well made, hits all the points I wanted and more. Not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be, yet very strong… (AK strap fits nicely on both the fatter G10 SE scales, as well as the standard AK scales)…

Holy *&^$#@ those are some awesome swords! That Black AK with the cool handle is incredible. Even the plainer black one is very nice. I used to think AK's were ugly compared to a traditional katana but your black one has changed my mind. Rainwalker did an incredible job and I really like the way you peced those sheaths. That is the ultimate american Diasho you have their with the AK and Ruck.
AK's seem expensive compared to knives(not Busse knives though) but compared to other mostly inferior swords they are a screaming bargain. I had a Cheness 9260 blade sent away to have a custom handle tsuba and wrap done and it ended up costing about the same as a Busse AK with one of Rainwalkers sheaths and it still needs a a saya and hybrid polish to be finished. I do think it is better looking than the Busse though. My sword took about 8 months to get back to me though. I wanted something that looked traditional but had a modern blade made of quality steel but if all I wanted was a sword to cut and practice with the Busse would have been a much better choice.
I did consider taking a AK and polishing the blade and cutting he handle down so I could fit a traditional handle. A traditional looking sword made of INFI made me dizzy with lust. What stopped me was not the expense or the cutting a 600$ Busse sword it was realizing how bloody long it would take to polish 3 feet of hardened INFI on both sides.
