So its coming down to the nitty gritty for me. Of 25 students that started in my Power Plant operations class 3 months ago we're down to 9 students, luckily I'm one of them. I've been lucky and blessed enough to survive so far.

These were the terms, learn a ton (understatement) of material in 3 days and get tested on it the 4th day. You must pass with a 70% or you fail that test. This has been the routine every week for the last 11 weeks of my life, very tiring, very emotionally draining (aahhh the stress!!) and very, very, very informative. You can only fail 2 tests and if you fail the 3rd you don't have a job.

Here's the catch, the final is a sudden death. Even if you pass every test and get to the final but fail it you don't have a job. So everything for me is leading up to this Thursday when I take the final. I've been lucky (blessed is more the correct statement) so far.

I'm posting this to request your prayers in my family's behalf that I can pass this last test. This is the job that will give my family the financial support we need for the rest of our lives. My mantra has been "failures not an option" throughout the whole school but a mantra isn't enough, Divine intervention is what I need even more. I feel pretty prepared (all I do is study) but I need that extra boost, so any prayers you can send my way would be awesome!!! Thanks for all the support thus far guys, sorry I haven't been able to hang around much. I'll let you know what happens hopefully Thurs. if not Fri. for sure.

ron, you are in our prayers

I know you don't need a prayer but it can't hurt. It will be great when you have a nice easy Homer Simpson type job can hang out here all day. I am really getting into the primitive style of knives and hawks and maybe even boys. I am either going to get a bow or blackpowder rifle for hunting without the red tape that firearms have here in Canada. There are so many deer around here and so few hunters you can hunt them with a hammer.
