Hey guys,

I'm on the road for work right now in the Yukon. Been up here about a week, chasing the good weather around to try and get as much mountaintop work done as we can before the snow flies. This is the first hotel in a week where the intarweb has worked. I guess the tubes must be full up here or something. Anyway, had a good visit with a custom maker, George Roberts up here, and have a couple more pieces on order with him.

I'm trying to get to another maker's shop in a place called Tagish. Larry Durand is his name but thus far our schedules haven't meshed. Maybe next time.

Put about 1400 KM on the truck in a week. Everything up here is far apart. Getting work done, slowly. We'll get a great day and fly, then 2 days of rain. Give up there, move to another site, get a great 2 days there, then get chased out by rain again. At least we have enough places up here to get to that are far enough apart that we can keep moving around and keep working. I hate nothing more than sitting in a small town hundreds of miles from home twiddling my thumbs waiting for weather.

Anyway. Just wanted to drop in and see how all y'alls were doing, and let you know what i'm up to.

Take care,

-Cam.

You should look up Coldone ,how big can the Yukon be anyway?

Get some photos if you can.

You hate sitting around a small town twiddling your thumbs?
Welcome to my life!

Hey guys,

Found another hotel that has working internet. So many places claim to have wifi but their networks don't go anywhere.

I've got some great pics coming but they're still on the camera. I promise to share the good ones after I get home and suck the brains out of the Canon.

Dawson City tonight. It's well past 8 and the sky is still quite bright. Not like it was when I was here in May, and the sky was blue at midnight - that was a trip - but still bright. The helicopter mechanic said that it starts to get dark around 10 these days, but it's getting earlier every day.

The leaves are starting to turn here, and it's cold in the morning. About 0 ( I think that's 32 in deg. American) but warming quickly once the sun comes up.

Talk to you all soon!

-Cam.

That sounds so good, CM. I'm here doing the yard in 90 degree (American) weather getting bug bit. I live in SE Georgia. We just call it L.A. (little africa).

In winter I describe Saskatchawan "like Siberia but cold".
