The Dog Father was BUILT to SERVE. It is the archetype of Scrap Yard Knives. No frills, just performance. It's a great yard work knife!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Great story. I brought my GW to church Sunday myself. Since they were having difficulty getting the chainsaw running, you should have given a demonstration by chopping it up as well. Tell them they must sell their coats and buy DogFathers! Jesus commands it! Sort of…
He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. Luke 22:36
So in other words, it’s better to be cold and be able to defend youself, rather than be warm and defenseless…a lot of sheeple could learn a thing or two about emergency prepardness from reading their Bible. For instance, regarding food storage:
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man. Proverbs 6:6-11

Yes it is Vic. My DF has replaced the Battle Rat as my go-to yard tool. I use it for darn near everything. If the job does not require explosives, firearms, micro-surgery or heavy equipment it is more than likely that the Dog Father can do it!

Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms should be a convenience store, not a Government Agency.

Last week the Young Men at church embarked on a service project to clean up the yard of an elderly widow. As an adult leader serving in the Young Men’s organization it was my duty to go along and supervise along with a two other men.
When we arrived the young men got busy picking up trash and mowing the lawn. There were also several dead trees on the property that needed to come down. So, the adults figured that we could take care of that chore while the kids were doing the “light work”.
We only had one chain saw amongst us, so while the rest of the guys were fussing with it trying to get it running I went back to the car and retrieved the Dog Father. I got a number of snickers and several remarks were made when I walked up to the smallest of trees that needed to be removed. It was only about 2 inches in diameter and the recently sharpened DF brought it down with 2 strokes. I imagine a stronger man could have done it with one.
Everyone was watching when I walked up to the second tree. This one was a dead pine about three inches in diameter and it took me about 5 strokes to topple it. The final tree was a dead oak about 10 inches in diameter and I left that for the chain saw to bring down although the DF got a good workout helping to remove limbs and trimming them.By the time the evening was over all the other men wanted to know how they could get a Dog Father too.
Dan, if you make them they will sell. What a great story. It is hard for anyone to see a Dog Father in action and not be impressed...sounds like you did some nice work Thanks for sharing Dan

Way to go Rich!!
Like you I am blessed with a Dog Father that attends Church.
Besides teaching the Junior High class for the last 5 years we own and operate a cleaning business in Delavan Wisconsin. At our Church we also are the full time custodians as well. Which means I get paid to use the Dog Father in Church!!
Sweet deal eh? I wear my SS-4 at all times too at Church for the SYKC Combo package and because I look so darn good wearing the pair!
You did a great job sharing your D.F. with your Church brothers. I pray that they learn more about Scrap Yard knives and may one day join us hear to chat about our favorite steel ... Scrap Yard!
Peace.
Some people just never learn.
