Candlepower is a cool forum. I used to go there when I got my first couple of Fenix lighters and then forgot. I would way rather get it from a guy like Oregon. I feel like a geek but I thought those were darn cool. I was going to get one of those mini cylinders for my zippo but this could be better.

To add to one of the item to my BOB or emergency list, a simple magnifying glass. I can pick ticks off my skin and start a fire with sunlight. I think that's pretty cool. Almost forgot one until I start reading EKGs. Solar power lighter!

Mine should arrive today. I will post a mini review after I play with them for a while.

Almost forgot one until I start reading EKGs. Solar power lighter! Yeah, they have a lot of great uses. You can use them to start unlimited fires, to aid in removal of small splinters and thorns, remove ticks, help read small print in your survival manual (if you’re older), or see anything small up close. I found some nice ones that are 10x and about the size of a half dollar. I thought they’d be great for a medical kit or PSK. If anyone else would be interested in them, send me a PM.

My mini-lighters arrived yesterday. I have been playing with them all morning. To be honest they are built better than I expected. I thought they might be more of a cheap novelty item, but they are pretty heavy duty. Definitely well built. The test now is too see how long the fluid last.

nice stuff ter! I'll probably get some. Like you pointed out let us know how long the fuel lasts, I don't like that my zippo's dry up so soon.

These lighters have a O-ring that is supposed to seal it to prevent water from coming in, and fuel from evaporating. I lit it at least 30-40 times today without having to refill and its still going. I am going to fill one and not touch it for a few months and try it then.
