That's a good looking knife, Bruce. One of my favorite steels, too.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Have you guys explored the wondeful world of kukuris. I really like them. If you have any interest, I'd be happy to post some pics of real kuks, not novelty items...just for conversation's sake.
I just left the Scrap Yard forums and those guys are commenting on the lack of activity there, both in terms of postings and steel. The Scrapyard section on Bladeforums is a dead indian too, although Scrap Yard has had some knives available lately. In fact, there are a couple of models available now I believe.

Just got back from seeing Resident Evil: Extinction. Milla Jovovich uses a pair of kukuris to dispatch a lot of zombies. It got me thinking about them again. Resident Evil: Extinction is a bit weaker than the earlier ones but still good.

Do you have any kuks Bors? What kinds do you like? None at the moment Sigh...... I had a cheap atlanta cutlery made by windlass, a Hi Ang Khola 18" and a Cold Steel Gurkha Kukr early Carbon V one. The windlass was misplaced over the years and the Ang Khola was a gift to a friend and the CS one I sold to buy the DF when it was first released.

The 18 inch Ang Khola must have been nice. I have a 15 incher and it's a bit small to be an effective chopper. However, it was made by Sgt. Khadka and it is the chiruwa (full tang) handle style. The kuks I really like are those from Tora in Britain. Tora stives for historical accuracy and the workmanship, like HI's, is first rate.

Bors, how are you feeling. Nearly up to snuff? It took me about 7 weeks after gall bladder surgery to begin to feel normal.

Bors, how are you feeling. Nearly up to snuff? It took me about 7 weeks after gall bladder surgery to begin to feel normal. Thanks for asking. Doing fine things are pretty much back to normal. The surgery was on a Friday and I returned to work on the following monday. Except for a couple of small scabs the holes are pretty much healed. As far as eating well it's pretty much normal however I am trying to cut back on the fat.
