Glad everything worked out Dan. My youngest boy who is 5 jumped up in the air a couple fo weeks ago and came down on the serrated blade of a tape dispensor, the big ones. It sliced the bottom of his big tow taking off about a nickel sized chunk. As you mention, blood everywhere, all over the carpet, my clothes, the bathroom from me cleaning it out and putting on a temp bandage. The nurses said I did a good job on the bandage and cleaning the wound which surprised me. The little guy took 2 shots in the end of his toe from the doc at the emergency room without even crying, heck he is tougher than I am. When I got home, I tossed the tape dispenser because I was pissed it was left on the ground. My 7 year old then admitted that he knocked it on the ground and did not pick it up. I figured it was best not to be pissed at him. With 2 boys, I imagine I have only seen the beginning.

+1, I hope the coming week is a little less eventful, at least in that respect...

Thanks guys! The little man is doing well this morning and is still climbing up on top of things. The first thing he did when we got back last night was start climbing on things again! I wonder what he'll fall off of next...

Good to hear that your kid is fine. Couple of months ago my younger one decided to drive his bike off a minor gorge; I was behind and saw it happen. Just said to myself: sh*t, he is dead.

Scare of my life, got him our and had to carry him home. Head open to the skull. Drove him to the ER instead of waiting for an ambulance, broke the land speed record on the way (don't know what scared my wife more, the driving or the looks of her son). They patched him up and I must say the doc, she did one fine job on the stitches.

Kids make you grow old fast but you don't want to miss it.

Heads-up

Roger: Glad to hear that your son is recovering and that he got taken care of. I dread the day that one of my boys gets a serious injury like that. I was wondering what I would have done had a cop tried to pull me over - probably would have let him chase me to the hospital! Take care, - Dan Rice

Glad to hear the little on is doing okay.
Kids will scare you to an early grave, won't they?
They do keep life exciting.

Regarding BP and salt:
the doc told us to switch to sea salt... all the salt flavor, more vital minerals, less bad affects. It has helped here a whole lot. Besides the decrease in BP probs, we noticed the daughter stopped having those awful "growing pains" in legs and such, tho she has continued to grow at an awful rate.

Take care there!

Good info, thanks. I had knee pains and all that when I was a kid - so thats a good thing to remember as the boys probably will too.

I don't salt anything, but I like pizza and salsa and all of those foods that contain salt/sodium... Too bad for me!!

Glad Jordan is ok. Kids can scare you half to death, and head laceratons usually
look worse than they are.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
