well unfortunatly I am going to pass on the DMLE. but don't worry I will keep my wallet ready for the next CD knife. I have the DM, DF, S6, and YG. to me that is all the Combat grade versions that have been released. they are by far my favorite fixed blades. but I will keep waiting. in the mean time I just ordered a 1/4 thick 154CM 8 1/8" overall fixed blade from mantis knives. ot is one of those purchases were I think to myself "when it arrives it better really be a quarter inch thick" I like to have a couple strong reliable knives I do not need to mantain. I need to look at either another khuk or an RD7. every body sure seems to love them so maybe I'll give ranger knives another try.

I'll opt out as well. The nitche the DMLE would fill for me has been filled already, probably many times over. However, I do like the lack of tactical smoooge all over the blade.

Let us know how you like that Mantis, scrappy.

I'm still not sure what to think of their stuff... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I don't get what an S7 would have that the Guards don't? I actually much prefer a recuve myself.

Unsub, the S7 would be fractionally lighter in weight and would be stone sharpening friendly unlike the YG. It would also be a Dan CT!! And that is the best reason for a S7 going.

Unfortunately the several months comment probably isn't far from the truth, I wish he would release a couple differant options at the same time. I am hoping for something larger as well, I pretty much have my 4-5inch blade category covered. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I liked the S7 I handled at Blade. It was lighter than the Guard or Hook.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I wish I had taken more time to look at those... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
