I too wanted a Brute - that was what I looked and looked for - no dice, and got an RTAK II instead.

I don't regret that decision at all - but I really want a Brute - and hope that he brings them out again in the new line.

I'm with you there - I wanna get one of those and a necker as well.

Do you know who it was that was offering/making micarta grips for the Beckers?

I like the Necker a lot and I love the bottle opener feature at the butt. Camillus were selling the micarta scales before they went under. I bought a few sets from Chestnutridge a few months ago and those were the last ones they were able to get. I also heard R. Linger was making scales specifically for the Beckers but I don't know if he does anymore.

Thanks - hopefully Kabar will do the same when they start production!

I wanted a Brute for a long time. Then I got one. I didn't care for the handle and I think a moment of weakness happened and I sold it.

I have been wanting another for a while now. I can fix the handle - strip the coating, etc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have a Brute and a BK-9. The Brute is thicker and heavier with a recurve blade. I like the BK-9 better. Camillus offered replacement textured micarta scales direct from the factory (same as the ones on the "Extreme" model). I put them on my BK-7 and BK-9. I may get a Necker if they make them again. Its the only neck knife that appeals to me.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Hmm according to Ethan Becker 1095 and the old 50100/CarbonV/01670 are about the same performance wise, so the move to Kabar could end up being a positive all around.

I see some of you dogs are sniffing around for a becker brute. Wonder where I ever saw one of those? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I can't wait for more Beckers! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I've got a couple, but once I heard of the Camillus collapse, I wish I'd gotten a couple others. I'll be real glad to see them offered again... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
