I think Becker said he was going to stick w/ the 1095 "family" other than that stainless he used on the Extreme.

I'm sure he will use a steel appropriate to the knife. There are lots of good steels out there.

I have a BK-9HH. Nice knife. I just need some Micarta scales for it. The plastic is kinda crappy.

Those are some fine looking Beckers HD. I love the classic carbon steel with the Extreme handles. I never did like the extreme blades though. S30V is a bad choice for a chopper.

Love that BK-7 ,is that clip point stock or has it been altered in the third world grind shop? Either way it looks incredible.

The Necker is definitly going to be made and I will be picking one up.
The Patrol Machete will not be made because there simply are not grinders long enough. They simply don't make things like they used to. Now instead of a skilled machinist on a lathe or grinder you have a computer running a CNC machine.

Ethan gave out some tantalizing hints on BF. The most interesting is one new knife will be made of (drum roll please) 5160!

5160 is not an easy steel for knife company's to use because it is oil hardened
rather than air hardened. I think it will be either a Camp Knife (or scalping knife) or possibly a satin Necker.

He also is considering using A2 which would be freakin awesome!

5160 would be awesome

I think Carbon V is superior to 1095. I have seens some cold steel knives take alot of abuse, and be very strong. as we all know it is the same still as the old beckers.

I have a patrol machete, brute, combat bowie, crewman, and their swat entry tool. I don't know why I got that one.

He said 5106 in a very small one line post.

There will be no Brute either because it has been replaced by the BK9.

I like my Bk-9 much better than my Brute. The Brute looks great, but the Combat Bowie works better. I'm looking forward to getting a Necker, my first neck knife. It has a bottle opener!

I think I will pick up a Necker and a BK7 and I will probably strip ,polish and blue the blade as well as make some wood handles for a classic bowie with modern performance.

I'd get a BK9 and a Brute if they both became available. I can see the BK9 being a little more practical, but the Brute looks fantastic.
