First off, no... last name is not Hartsfield...

My first blade from this maker, but definitely will not be my last... once I find a job first, that is...

Knife steel is 1084 I believe

Damascus guard and ferrule

Desert Ironwood handles

Blade length : 9 in (from tip to guard)

OAL : 15 in

Alright, enough words.. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Pics did not come out as nicely as it should. Sun wasn't very cooperative that day..:D

Tessaiga,
That is one fine looking Bowie knife!

I have always been a big fan of the clip point blades and on a large Bowie it just seems to be the perfect choice.

Now for the B I G question Tess, are you planing on letting that big boy ride on your hip and do some serious knife work or will that Bowie spend its days being polished and looked at?

Just curious because I too have bought some big fancy customs with the idea of using on the trail and being the Big Dog when it came time to cut and gut a Deer. Only to find I don't have the heart to scratch the blade, stain the blade with blood and organs,or nick the precious wooden scales up.

So I crumbled and have been a polisher and a looker.

On the bright side... company that come over and see my collection seem in awe of some of the ones that I just couldn't bear to use. So I still polish and get my enjoyment from them, just in a different way.

Peace.

That hits all my buttons. I don't like damascus blades but I love it for guards etc because it is not so busy or flashy looking. I have been getting more into the classic bowies and primitive knives recently. I am going to check out more of his stuff. I also like Neil McKee's work.
