Hi! My name is Tom, and I'm a knifeaholic. I'm a VietNam Marine Veteran who genuinely appreciates all those who have served, past and presently. I worked in factories for many years at various levels, and finally my wife and I decided that there was a better way to live! So, we began looking for a house with land or a farm, which is how we ended up moving from the greater Chicago area to southwest Missouri. The BEST move we could have ever made! I ran a herd of cattle for years, then sold it in order to build a new house in the middle of my hayfield. We love it!!! I can go fishing on my pond or hunting on my own land any time I want, which is truly great. I would post a picture of myself, but it would be easier if I could convince WhichDog to retrieve one already posted - hint hint! I am a real rookie with a computer - you wouldn't believe what I went through to make it as the first Junk Yard Dog with this mega-slow dial-up!

Thanks for all the responses, guys! I thought that, with all the silliness going on in this forum lately, it was important for us to remember who we all are, and why we are here. It is not just about the knives, though that IS the primary reason for this site. We are here as a part of an extended family. The knives gathered us together; friendship will keep us here.

Welcome to the Yard, Steve! You'll love Scrapyard knives - stick around and get your hands on one! (Or, if you're impatient, the Yard Hook is still in the store!)
Feel free to drop in frequently, and post often!

Hi Guys,
My name is Cam. I work for the Fed. Gov't in Vancouver as a radio tech with the Canadian Coast Guard. We also support the Federal Fisheries enforcement officers. Mountain top radio, mostly. So lots of travel.
I collect and use quality tools of all descriptions and just can't seem to get enough pointy steel.
Not married, no kids, and my only dogs sit in their sheaths. Glad to know you all.
-C.
