I thought it was safe to post this over here, since I am away from the dedicated SY knife area, and the yard produces nothing like this.
Top one is my skeletal witch, which I rewrapped in desert tan cord.
The second is a alley kitten, part of a run that was made for some mercs. I had BoB Dozier make me some kydex for it; the original sheath was leather covered in camo cloth. Very cool.
The third is a skeletal witch, set up for arm/leg/neck carry. It is the smallest witch I have ever seen.

It looks way better in person. Two-tone satin finish.

They are made by Peter Bauchop, who hails from South Africa. They are very rare.
This is the only sketetal witches I have ever seen ,and I have been a fan of his work for about 25 years now. I have only met one other person who has had a witch, other then myself.
Peter is semi-retired, which is unfortunate. I think the witch is the finest pure fighter I have ever held.

The knife on the right is a standard witch, the first one I ever bought.
It was used in combat in Africa, traded back to the dealer, then sold to me.
The sheath for it was made by the same guy who made Chris Reeve's sheaths, when he still lived in SA.

I really like those Bauchop pieces Roo. He's the South African maker right? How did you acquire those? I've admired his work for 20 years.

I have picked up his stuff here and there, over the years. I first heard of him in an article in SOF magazine, decades ago. First gun/military mag I bought; definitely had an influence on my development. Same mag had articles on the galil, and the Blackie Collins designed NINJA.
The skeletal witch I got through Beck's cutlery. They occasionally had Bauchop stuff in the past.
The bottom witch and the alley kitten were gotten from a guy that imported 'stuff' from Africa. A friend of a friend kind of deal.
So far, I have 3 witches, one little skeletal witch, a wasp, a full-size alley cat, a alley kitten, a babychop, a wizard, and a matched set consisting of a witch and a warlock, both with oryx horn handles and oryx skin sheaths.
Those were a anniversary/ Christmas present from the wife.

Cool , I don't think there is a problem with customs at all.
I would love to learn more about Bauchop's knives. SA had to make all their arms locally during the embargo and it ended up being a blessing in disguise with many cool weapons being designed and made totally in house. They really did a lot of work with mortars and small units that was ahead of their times. I love hearing about the Rhodesian wars Grey's scouts etc. The way things are working out in
Rhodesia now I think things would have been way better off had things stayed the way they were rather than having Mugabe's "Freedom Fighters" in charge.
