Is that knife a Busse Combat Basic-5? No, it's a Dumpster Mutt with a satin finish.

I can say from experience that Surefire's customer service is number one. For me it's worth the extra money.

so if i get this straight going with a L1d head and L2d body gives you a the lower output of the L1 with the 2 AA battery config of the L2? does anyone have the run time specs of adding the l2 body to the l1 head? just yesterday i was looking at the L2D premium. i have the P2 and P3. i love them both although i don't know if the extra light output of the P3 is really worth it for what i would need.
not really needing any tactical applications so the p2d is working great. goes everywhere i do. but was thinking the AA version might be better for my SAR bag that i'm trying to put together.

although the 80 lumen for 12 hours of the surefire seems appealing. i wish the fenix lights had a lock out tailcap feature. several times i've pulled out the fenix from my pocket and the light has been on. normally if there was something else in my pocket as well.

My Rebel LOD just got here... It is seriously small.
Next, she is seriously capable... very bright, and high quality light. Strong case, no issues..

When i first turn her on, I feel like there is a slight flicker for just a second, and so rapid that you hardly notice... maybe capacitor loading up? anyhow.. I love her... just enough to spend out for a larger one soon.

This little LOD will be a great key chain compliment... Or maybe ask rainwalker to think of something to clip into my wallet?

wig, the extra power in the P3D is totally worth it, just in terms of not needing to change the batteries as often. and it's also worth it because I say so.I haven't had any probs with mine switching on in my pocket, but I usually have it in my breast pocket if I'm wearing a jacket, or the holster if I'm not. a nerd is me!

I took my P3D Premium 100 Trick or Treating last night with my kids and they were amazed with how bright it was. Being able to adjust to 4 different brightness levels was extremely useful.
 That sucker is BRIGHT!

my p3d is sweet. the adjusting to multiple levels is very very useful. they can dump the sos beacon. seems a little gimmicke to me

I took my L2D out last night and had about 4-5 adults asking about it. One guy was bragging to his friend about his big O' flashlight. I pulled out my relatively small L2D and had conparable brightness and throw with better beam quality. He was very interested in my light. He called one of his buddies and his wife to have me show it to them.
I agree with the SOS beacon. I don't care for it. But, I do like the multiple levels a lot and find the options very handy.

If nothing else, I wish they would have tagged the SOS behind the Turbo mode since I don't use those much.

I use low, medium and high a bunch and it would be better just to click through those options without having to click throught SOS mode.
