im looking to buy some type of belt grinder from them but im always skeptical of cheap prices.sometimes cheap price means cheap stuff.i dont expect it to be top of the line but is it good,especially their electric stuff.

it seems some of you guys have some experience with them.was it good or bad...thanks

One thing about the 1x30" sander is that you can then run good belts on them! I use belts from leevalley.com. A better endorsement: Vic uses belts from leevalley.com! I think he also uses a harbour freight grinder.

I purchased the Harbor Freight 1"x30" cheapo a few months ago and could not be happier! It was cheap, I use the Leevalley belts, and it is great for what I need/use it for. I primarily sharpen and reprofile edge geometry on my bigger blades with it. Even if it broke today, I've gotten my money's worth out of it!

I have the harbor freight sander and I am impressed with the quality.

I did my satin DM, DF, S6, YG, and HRLM on a Harbour Freight 1 x 30. Of course, several good belts will cost as much as the sander, but mine has served me well for nearly three years.

I bought mine when they recently went on sale for 29.95 but I think they went back up to 39.95

Anywhere from $30 to $40. Sometimes they are on sale.
