Not for me thanks. They're illegal in Texas and I don't know what I'd do with one anyway.

They are illegal in Canada and I would not have any use for one anyway !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />

I can only think of one double edge Busse, it was a old custom shop thing most likely a one of a kind. Other than that there are not any in the three Busse companies. I like the idea but, for a utility it is less than ideal and that is all I use my knives for, and they few folks who use their knifes for "non-utility" pourposes don't post pics (and I think that is fine). With Dogs all over the world there is not a very good chance, I don't seeing Dan making any blade that would break laws for anybody. I Love a good Dagger but that is what the "other" companies are for.

Not illegal by any federal that I know about! A screwdriver can be illegal if you are carrying it for self defense though..

Pitman, no they're not.

The only knives prohibited in Canada are autos that open by means of a button or lever attached to the handle and knives that can be flicked open by centrifugal force (Balisongs and gravity knives).

-C.

Only if it was a necker! A skelly double edged necker - 3.5" - w/ a kydex setup would work for me... but nothing full size.

I love the commando daggers but if you really want one Protech is doing a production version of the awesome Brend custom for about 2 bills.

EK do a nice dagger as well.

I don't need a dagger though because I have the best one ever made. The second pattern(some like the first better but they are wrong)MOD model FS Dagger.

Just in case Dan does make one.

If we are going to be asking for fighting knives with limited appeal I would much rather a PBF (Pure Bred Fighter) like the one Busse made but with the Res C handle and sterile S7 black blade.

I have been wanting a dedicated fighter for a while now and the PBF is one of the best. I am going to keep an eye on the BF exchange for one or I may get a Mercworx Sniper. The usual Busse kin buyers would not be that interested in the PBF but I think you would get a lot of martial artists who were also looking for a good fighter.

You could have someone reprofile a Hook and get pretty close, couldn't you? Maybe Scott Tanguay - he does a lot of custom mods and is pretty well known at BF.

I have totally considered the Hook mod but the main thing is to make the knife from thinner stock 3/16 so it is faster in the hand. You would have to take off a lot of steel.

Is this Dogfighter Scott's work Diceman?

I have considered buying another Hook to mod but I would not chop my current one because it works so well as a survival knife that can be used as a fighter and it would not fit the awesome sheath Eric made me.

I'm not sure who did that mod - but I don't think it was Scott. I don't know much about him, though - other than seeing some Ranger mods that he'd done. I just know that he's pretty well known for doing custom work on knives.
