From the pictures and discussions it appears we all (well most of us) have more knives than we'll ever be able to use (so what I've got the same problem with firearms). What I want to know is how many users do you actually have. I have three. My EDC is a 3 1/2 folder (not a Scrap Yard so I won't mention the brand), A 6" fixed blade utility knife (will be replaced with a Scrapper 6 when Dan's makes them available again) and a 10" heavy use fixed blade (this one will be replaced with a Dog Father when available).

So tell me, what are your actual users??

my primary users are a BM 940, CRKT M-21, and Yard Guard. I'd use my hook more, but it's just too pretty. I carry a BM 690 when I need to be dressy, and I'll probably EDC a meaner if I ever find the one I want.

Funny Din. No I don't mean kitchen knives. Wow! You have 23 that you use on a regular basis?

about 10 users that run in cycles and another 10 queens, on me right now the rat trap

Bld522, My wife uses our kitchen knives a lot more than I do. Funny thing, everytime I pick one up its dull. I sit down and sharpen all of them then get yelled at the next she uses one because she cuts herself. Hard to please women sometimes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I used to sharpen my mother-in-law's knives when my wife complained that all her mother's knives were dull. Then her mother would cut herself. She never liked me anyway. Little victories.

Yeah Rainwalker, all of mine get used "every now and then". The three I listed get regular use. The picture of the one shown under my ID is the only one I've ever made. Its stays in my office beside a handgun. Its always at the ready but never sees any use. Kinda hope it stays that way.

Sorry, I digress. Back on the topic, I mostly use my CS Voyager, Spyderco Endura, and SAK Trekker. I have dozens of knives. Out in the yard, I use my machetes, Dog Father, and Ontario Survival a lot. I seldom use my small fixed blades. If I'm going to cut something, I use a folder. If I'm going to chop or clear, I use a machete or big bowie. I have a cheap Chinese small chef's knife, a large Chicago Cutlery Chef knife, and a Chicago Cutlery paring knife that I use a lot in the kitchen. Out in the bush, I usually end up carrying a large fixed blade or machete for chopping, and do what little skinning and cutting I do with a folder.
