Haven't heard any of you guys talk about your zombie kits. So far for mine I've got 2 M-4's, one Rock River and one Bushmaster. I have two 100 round Beta mags, one for each and 20 of the very nice but expensive HK AR15 mags. And about 5000 rounds of SS109. I've got a Scattergun/Wilson 870 and a Mossberg 590A1. 500 rounds of tactical Federal buck and 250 rounds of tactical Federal slugs. For my side arm I have a Glock 21 with 5 mags. I've got 500 rounds of Federal 230 grain +p tactical ammo for that. My knife is a Busse Fusion Fat Battle Mistress and my back up knife is a Badger Attack. I have this all set up very nicley on a tactical vest. I also have an ankle 357 snub for last ditch situations. I am still working on my sniper that has started from a JLD91/HK91. So far I have a HK wide forearm with the steel bipods. For the scope I picked up a Millette Tactical 4-14.5 with green illuminated recticle. I am trying to get my hands on the rear stock from Magpul that is a PSG1 style and will work great on this. I have been able to get 3/4 moa with 175LR ammo. Just wonder if anyone has seen any zombies or outbreaks? That way I will know if I need to speed up finishing my kit? Almost for got about the standard bug out kit with duck tap, pooncho, MRE's, water and so on.

Just watched "28 days later" last night....had me thinking the same thing....escape routes, rally points with my father...etc. It is comforting to know there are other "prepared"/crazy folks out there!

Actually PSG1, the lack of prepared folks will make foraging easier!

This reminds me of a friend that called me to tell me he had just bought 25 gallons of water and stocked up on food before Y2K. He asked me if I had done the same.

I said, "No, I have guns."

A moment of silence

"Can I come over there with my food and water if anything happens?"

yeah, but the decoys turn into more zombies. it's better to keep them alive and with you until you make a break for it, then push them to the zombies when you're on your way to the mountains, or else they're just gonna eat your limited supply of ammo when they awise!

Most of my friends & family give me grief about my preparedness plans. They always finish their razing with "If anything ever does happen I'm coming to your house". My reply is always "If you show up at my front door during an emergency you better make sure you're going to be an asset and not a liability to my plans." Amazing how many people want to start learning about preparedness after they think about that for a while.

Neat how this segwayed to a "preparedness" topic! Jackell, I know just where you're coming from, as I have had the same experience. A little "education" will usually get people thinking and better appreciate the idea of "prepping". When I point out to folks that I live in the country, on the County line, and it's 19 miles to the closest store and 22 miles to the Sheriff's office, they usually begin to understand that it is MANDATORY to be prepared! In the event of a disaster, whether natural or man-made, we will be the LAST people to receive help simply due to our location and sparse population. I am happy to same that my wife shares the same view! Tom
