-Chinese knock offs, 3 for a dollar...

the world is awash in cheap knives... all of them cut, and are overflowing from shelves all over the world.... All will cut the mustard... so why am I in agony waiting for ScrapYard...

I need a heavy duty user,.. one that I can tang-bang and slam-bamm hard use. One that I will not fear will fail me. A real anytime, anywhere, have no care type of blade that can take anything thrown at it and ask for more... Oh, the ScrapYard. Not so pricey you have to worry about using it, but 100% tough enough that you don't have to worry about using it...

Dan, awe man... can't you hear the whine of the pups... we need some new steel to cut our teeth on...

i was up late last night not being able to sleep looking over some of my knives. thinking if i need a S7. i would love to add a 7 inch blade. i have a kbar (actually 2) and it's a nice knife, but something i would put in the killing category not survival category. i've been agonizing whether to grap the rat/chopweiler when it hits the shelves or wait for the S7.

was looking at the pics today and i might like the blade profile of the rat better.

I don't even NEED knives as good as SY. My old Ontarios, Ka-Bars, and Gerbers work just fine. I am no longer a soldier and couldn't last a day in basic training. My swamp adventures are few and far between. Just keeping nature from taking over my three acres and dealing with raising two teenage daughters exhausts me. But I LIKE Scrap Yard Knives! And they will get a workout, even if it is in my own back yard!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

There's a lot of junk out there and a few good knives too. But it's hard to beat SYKCO for price and perfomance. I'm like you Vic, I probably don't really need antyhing as good as SYKCO for most of what I do. But once you've eaten steak, it's hard to go back to hamburger... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
