It was The Chicago Knife Show in September, my 50th birthday to be exact. My loving bride insisted I get the knife i REALLY wanted. I chose a brand new model from Pat Crawford "The Godfather of tactical Folders" called The Brick.

I have the very first unit he has ever sold. Had a crude prototype or two but not for sale. THIS is the #1 Brick made by him.

I love the knife but I .... well if you know me at all you know I need leather.

For THIS knife I needed more than leather. I needed The Mona Lisa.

I wanted the most practical and perfect folder sheath i could get.

Enter my personal sheath maker Jeff Law at Rainwalker Creations. You may have heard of him or even know him?

What a guy! He knew I couldn't send my new baby across the Country so I sent him a crude tracing done on the kitchen table.
Well He knew the knife had a actual name..."The Brick" so he wanted to keep the theme going with the sheath!

A Brick.

I was game!! He tooled and shaped, dyed and cut. Sewed and fastened. Polished and buffed until in a labor of sweat and love he created my Mona Lisa.

The most perfect tactical sheath I have ever seen.

She has a Magnesium fire stick on the left side, and a flashlight on the right.

In the middle The Brick and underneath a key chain/anything on a ring holder!

In back a X strap so I can adjust her to comply with my daily desires.

Dear GOD how I love this sheath. Wanna See?????

wow that is sleek, and because it is rather wide everybody will supose it is a PDA or a cell phone, I like the light an dfire stick on it too.

now aorry to play devil's advocate, but are you ever gona strike the firestarter with the Crawford? (ok I am done) well I assume you cary more than one blade like that Buck key chain one. Perhaps that will stripe better.

PoP, I'm really glad you like it. Pouches can be a real challenge, especially if there's a slight bit of guesswork involved. I wanted to make it big enough, but not too big. That "Brick" was no exception, I'm breathing a sigh of relief that it fit.

I also like using that style because like you said JB it looks a little less like a big scary knife pouch...

May the Mona Lisa serve you as well as your "Brick"...

James, it was less than one minuet before the Crawford shot a shower of sparks at my unsuspecting daughter!
She jumped and my wife gasped.. I squealed in delight!

My Brick is and will be a user for the rest of my days. I appreciate the unique quality and quantity of it but I am now of the mind that I deserve to use it and enjoy it now. My children can sell them, fight over them, or continue to add to the collection I will leave. But this unit will see EDC wear for at least the next 25 years!

What a sleek little girl she is. The greatest thing IS that she doesn't look like a H U G E folding is being carried inside of it. The three toys it holds add to the joy for me and being able to use the Brick for all my cutting needs in addition to my beloved left hip SS-4

I will be satisfied until Dan comes out with my Necker and my 3 inch drop point hunter for my ultimate collection of Scrap Yard Knives!!!

Gratuitous knife shot for Ron.

After seing your great pics I have to mention this now....

I got back from my walk today and found my wife looking quite worried with a heavily bandaged finger !!!!
Turns out she tried to open a package with the Buck Metro ( seeing yours reminded me ) that I bought her last Christmas ( this is the first time she has used it ) when she slipped making a deep slice into her finger and decorating our bed room in blood !

They may be small but DANG they are sharp....Be warned !!!!!

Dave,I still love that SS-4 sheath that you sent me photos of! This pouch is really a special one. That is a imaginative piece of work by your maker to say the least. I will have to send you a P.M. and get his name and address for my leather needs. Thank you for sharing it.
Tell Sherry thanks for the Goulash recipe too! I was a big hit with it. I of course said it was my own concoction!
