Could be one of any number of coral fungi. It looks to me like perhaps some Ramaria specie.

Don't know why my local woods were so quiet today, maybe it had something to do with the mist and thoughts of Halloween !!! I love foggy woods. I miss that from Ohio.
We actually get a lot of fog in the winter, but I'm never in the woods here in the winter.
