Hey Dogs. I hope things are going good over here in the yard.

Anyway, I have been agonizing over the thought of selling my Dog Father. Even though it would be to fund more INFI. The DF just feels so perfect to me. So I decided that I'd give it a day or two and if no one jumped on it in the exchange on BF then it was meant ot stay here with me.

That being said I decided to give it a little test on a 2x4. It still has the factory edge and coating. I was able to chop through a 2x4 in 14 chops. It shaved hair before and after. And when I say after I mean after chopping through a 2x4 4 times in a row. I think that is good.

I plan on stripping this beast and giving it a scotch-brite satin finish tomorrow. And perhaps thin the edge just a tad. I have to say, the DF is the baddest mofo I have used so far.

after all that, is it really a blade that you want to trade up on?

I mean look at the numbers of cgfbms vs. the number of dog fathers on the exchange... That should tell you somthing!

I came, I saw, I abused, I was defeated!

The DF will handle everything you can throw at it!

I guess I'm the exception. I sold my DF to help pay for a new hunting rifle. And I've yet to regret it. Big ole choppers like that aren't my thing at all. But I can see why so may love their DF.

I have tried a lot of great choppers and compared them to The Dog Father. The DF is one chopper that I cannot part with. It is simply the best of them all.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I am with Bld522. Bang for the buck, the DF is the best blade released so far; possibly the best blade (dollar for knive weight/size) ever in history.

I haven't used my DF an awful lot (too big to carry on the hills- my Basic 7 goes instead) but when I did it was VERY good.. The forward weight and super comfy handle make using it a dream, it may not have INFI's corrosion resistance but I think overall it may well keep up with a CGFBM- but be more comfy in use!! And when you think 1 CGFBM = 2.5 DF, suddenly a DF and buying a Sentry Marine Tuff-cloth for a few quid sounds the best idea ever!

The DF may be Dan's defining work and the Yards signature knife. (But can we have tan S9's too please Dan??)

Don't sell it - you'll hate yourself in the morning.

And for the rest of your life.

Just my opinion, though
