It's clear to me that a lot of us having very strong feelings on the subject of buying Scrap Yard knives not for the love of owning them and using them but for the love of reselling them to turn a profit. Before the Dog Father hits the market, I thought I'd create a central thread where we might share some constructive ideas with Dan & Patti on how to prevent speculators from spoiling the market for those of us who share a real passion for these knives.

I posted this idea in another thread. But I didn't want it to get lost. So I reproduced it here.

If I may make a recommendation, please give everyone a chance to buy a DF before the resellers gobble them all up. Don't let anybody buy more than a couple of them at a time during the first 72 hours after they go on sale. People who want more than that aren't interested in you or your product anyway. They're only interested in turning a profit.
