The bosu balls were too darn expensive when I went to get one. I ended up picking up a standard round model for working out.

I ended up picking up a standard round model for working out. i think you made the right choice. it's more of a challenge, and that's the whole point. i use one that isn't completely inflated, which further reduces the rigidity, but go too soft and you'll hurt yourself. take my word for it.
