No Swamp Wardens though; I don't think I'm buying, but saw and am passing the info along.

Got me a sage chopper. My first rat. Now I will have knives from all 3 Busse companies.
It'll be my luck that the DFLE will go up this week.
I'm too drunk to taste this chicken

wow. i was going to pass on the chopweiler. and i did. at first. then that night i had a couple of drinks and decided to get one. However, Zeronine took the last OD one in stock.
Now i'm at work and sober and leaning towards passing. I just got a Hook in from Knob and think it's great. Does anyone think the Chopweiler provides something that the hook doesn't performance wise?

nope, wig. and the hook provides an additional level of pure, distilled awesome that will be lacking from the ratweiler. you're really better off picking up a second hook, plus you'll have enough left over to get a warden.

I know Hooks have been transformed into bottle openers. Has anyone tried completely removing the dew claw? In other words, is it a fools errand to try to turn a Hook back into a Guard? Don't ask me why... there's no arguing about taste.

Got a Dremel? It might take three minutes.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Got a Dremel. Got three minutes. Now if I could find some skill, some guts, and that credit card. This could definitely happen if the Hooks keep sitting in the store waiting for a home long enough for me to find those guts - taunting me even.

A couple of observations that I'll add since I already have both. I like both, but they are different in feel. The Hook has a better balance for all around cutting while the Ratweiler feels more like a chopper. Another thing, the Ratweiler is differentially heat treated, that could be a plus in some situations. The Hook has a more comfortable Res-c handle though.
