I was so glad to see this verdict happen. My only sadness is that the jury didn't award more money.

good. I hope it's enough to shut phelps and his band of asshats down. I don't care how you feel about ANY issue, a funeral is not the time to demonstrate.

I don't know how the family's of the fallen soldiers maintain themselves physically from anyone protesting at their son or daughters funeral. That is an exercise in control that I just don't have. Anyone who protests anything at a funeral needs their head examined right after someone smacks it.

I also like how they put kids out there to do the political dirty work. Real honorable. A little honor and integrity would do them all good.

the only problem is...
after reading that the amount awarded was more than all the defendants net worth combined, i would think it's not real likely the family will see anywhere near that amount

they can start selling westboro baptist organs on the black market, that oughta put a dent at least in the amount they owe...you know those crazy a-holes are gonna appeal it, and this crap's gonna be stuck in court forever. crazy fred will have been dead for years before it's settled.

I agree with Jerr! I used to think the dumbest, craziest picket was when they picketed bozo circus demanding that the second clown "cookie" lead the grand stand march sometimes, this protest beat it...
