okay, so i'm stripping my first knife of its coating. all i have is one tiny piece of emery paper. (about a 1 inch square of it) only one side of it is done, and there are some imperfections round the handle, but i'll get them out eventually.

Just gonna strip it?

I know you can't blue stainless steel (at least not well) - I think that'd go for patina as well - I hope you didn't have that in mind.

Looks good though!

i put a patina on stainless steel. (really really crappy stainless steel)
but I dont think it's stainless steel anyways.
idk what i'm going to do with it yet though, i just finished polishing it so, i might patina it, but it looks so good i kinda want to let it all sink in.

you could do a nice mirror finish on it - that would be cool!

Great work!

BTW, it most likely is Stainless, that's pretty much all the Gerber has used for quite some time...
