great work jeff. is the top section of the back leather screwed on to the kydex and that is sewn into the webbing? i really like this design and am incorporating some of these features into my ideal dogfather sheath.

It's all kydex and nylon except the retension strap and I was going to make it nylon or rubber but Bramel wanted some leather on the sheath somewhere. The retention strap seamed like the best place for that, it can be removed to. It's more of a backup, the SS6 is held securely in the kydex without it as well.

BTW, the kydex piece that the nylon is attached to was hand drilled with stitching holes, one every 5mm... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> seamed like the best way at the time... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Yea, and the drilling was the easy part. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The hand stitching was insane! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I've got to give the process more thought, I might use a few rivits on the next one and a little less stitching if it'll work. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Man, I typically don't like Kydex, but that is one sharp looking rig.

Best one I've seen

Congrats Bramel

Thanks Falcon & Arkie! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I usually prefer leather for combo outfits but it's fun and challenging to see what can be done with different materials and concepts. The nylon is the most challenging part really, I need to get a good heavy duty sewing machine before I get into too much of that.

Rainwalker,

That's EXACTLY what I have been wanting for my YG, W/Swamp Warden piggy back, (forced to use SRKW-SW due to [NO] SYKW-variant skelly). It sounds to me you want to get set up though. When You do, let us know, I will be at you for one of these set ups. That is the ticket. Excellent Job

Wow your not unwilling to take risks are you Rainwalker. I think it turned out great and your stitching is excellent for done by hand.
I have done some hand stitching and it is not easy.

Smart move getting your order sent direct to Rainwalker. You are going to have your Warden and sheath by the time poor Coldone gets his Wardens.

Jeff, that is a fine looking piece of kit mate! Top job! Bramel is a lucky hound!

(I still think the best thing about my BATAC is your leather! And the BATAC isn't too shabby..) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

That is really quite a complement Paul. That's what makes it all worth while. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

That makes me think. Did anybody see where that guy over on BladeForums was trying to make a sheath out of Micarta? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />
