Roo, Our Black Lab Max is 20 weeks old and has now developed a taste for my wifes plants. Dirt, roots, leaves, nick nacks in the pots... you name it Max has found them all and consumed, torn up, nibbled into finite pieces. My laughter went out to you first, not at you but with you! I am dealing with the very same loving pain. When I holler at him he sinks lower than a snakes belly and pouts for hours. Being unworthy of even a glance of eye contact. But the next day when all if forgiven and forgot about he is back hunting plants, shoes, and sometime even one of the seven thousand new dog toys we have bought for him. Glad to see you are at a dogs mercy too my dear friend. Enjoy it, and I promise to do the same! Peace. ![[Linked Image from i167.photobucket.com]](http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u151/Prince_of_Peace/maxie.jpg)

I came home one day from work to find that Butthead, our yellow Lab had dug a hole through one of our walls. 6 can of spackling later and you can't even tell.
Klaatu... verada... necktie

i'm sure the pillow attacked him and it was purely self defense.

He got the corner off of every pillow in the house. He was just protecting your house from the dreaded pillow corner zombies LOL

This morning, he pulled the loveseat from against the wall to in front of the front door. It is a strange feeling to come into the livingroom, and see your door blockaded. It took me a few seconds to focus..... "Is it zombies? Germans?...."

Unfortunately, our dogs have and still will on occassin chew up a blanket or towel. Luckily, never any furniture and very surprisingly no pillows (yet)!!!!
If they get hold of ANY stuffed animal toy, they will chew it up VERY fast. My boy in particular likes to pull the inards out of stuffed animals after a few death shakes and chew a nice hole for pulling out the inards.
We have a few throws and blankets that look like we had bad moths - look like swiss cheese. I don't like this habit... But, it has improved a lot over the last year or two. Maybe more of a puppy thing and needed some more training about what can be chewed and what not (????).
----------
My dogs went through a digging holes in the yard phase too. But, my cousin told me of a great trick to get dogs to stop digging and it worked great.
It sounds a little weird, but makes sense when you think about it.
If they dig a hole, put some of "their" poop in the hole and cover the hole back up. They won't want to dig at that spot anymore.
They will still dig a few more holes, but keep putting their poop in the holes. Eventually, they stop digging holes.
I can't speak for every dog. But, it worked great for ours and for a few other people I know.

Nice Roo. Other than digging throught he kitchen trash and eating cat poop, my dog has never destroyed anything inside the house anyway.

You should have seen the mailman, when I told him thru the window that he had to go to the backdoor, due to the blockade.
