Usually if I need to know the time there's a clock somewhere, otherwise I'd just as soon not know. I just blew some money on a Seiko 'black monster'. I have read tons about it online recently, and decided to take the plunge. It is an automatic dive watch. Stainless case and band, black face. It will be a birthday present from me to myself. My family is going to California during that time, so I need to have something to open that day. Leaving me alone, with the dogs. Wait... His belief was that it is a great indicator of the individual, in most cases I have found him to be somewhat correct, at least in a business setting. What a great watch, good for you Dan

My wife decided to splurge on my 50th B-Day and get me a stainless steel Rolex Datejust, Model 1601. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> She met a reliable source for used Rolexes and bought mine for $1100.00. It was manufactured circa 1964. Except for having the watch cleaned every few years, I've worn it every day since the day she gave it to me. It's the only watch I'll ever need and the last watch I'll ever own. Dan,
I'd agree with your friend's observation. When I deal with vendors and suppliers, I notice things like shoes and belts. Nothing turns off my interest in a sales pitch faster than dirty shoes or sneakers with half a suit.
