Hey Dogs, I just got back from a few days of deer hunting. I took little Mike with me and we had a great time. He missed a nice deer at just over 175 yards. His bullet hit a small branch infront of the deer and that is all she wrote.

The closest deer I saw was at 638 yards according to the range finder. Oh well, the weather was great and we had a good time. Its good to be back

Dan

Glad your back safe Dan. Also glad to hear you had a good time. Some of the most fun hunts I've had produced no game but a lot of great memories with the family. Teaching the kids outdoor skills and what it takes to be prepaired before you even go on the hunt was more fun than the hunt itself on many occasions. And BTW, you can come shoot the 600 yard range with me and be ready for that long shot next time!

Welcome back Dan!

Sounds like a good time was hard regardless of the outcome.

I agree, my best memories of my dad is when we went hunting...rarely getting any game, at least when I was young

What are you hunting with and more importantly what knife were you carrying?
