Cool! I've been after one of these for a while and managed to pick up a used one. This is a serious hunk of steel for a 6 inch blade! Now I have a decent sheath that fits several other knives as well. Of course, I just had to throw my new knife at my new 150lb piece of poplar. And that's how I broke my new kinfe 20 minutes after opening the USPS box. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> Not really, I just popped one of the fasteners off the handle. Since I'm in GA for the week, I thought I'd use my access to our belt sander and wheel to put the shine on it, as the coating is a little onthe weak side anywho. I wish I could put up some pics now, but Ihave a camera and no computer. ouch. my new rd7 shipped friday. headed to rainwalker for some pants. i will think twice before throwing it right out of the box.

you can take the handles off of it if you want to throw it.

I have not gotten a Ranger yet, but have always planned on it.
I was setting funds aside for one like the tan satin one Horn Dog had scored a short while ago, but them the DMLE came out, and there went the money.
Smart choice on my part. The 2 versions of the DM have become my favorite releases, so far.
I still want a tan handled satin blade Ranger, though.
When you can, post some pics. I would like to see it.

Someday I am going to have Justin make me a custom bowie to my specs. It is just to good a deal and 5160 is a great steel. I loved that polished one and I saw a different Ranger with a ironwood handle. I wonder if he could do it like a comp bowie?
