What do you do with a flash light other than to provide light in the dark?

Is the G2 Duralon the plastic surefire? I thought one of those might be a great deal if you don't plan on hitting someone with it.

So what is a decent light to get...I certainly don't want to disrupt my knife money, but I NEED a good light?

If you're looking for a good solid durable light gor everyday usage I'd suggest a Mini-Mag LED. They're actually a pretty good upgrade to the old style mini-mags. The light output is pretty good, it's LED so it won't burn out on you. Lastly, you can find them for 20-25 bucks.

The problem with surefires is that they're expensive, you only get about an hours worth of use out of the batteries, and the bulb can be hard to find. However, if you're looking for a light for self defensive purposes I don't think they can be beat. When I'm packin I've either got my Z2 combat light or my A2 Aviator.

I wouldn't say I'm a flashaholic, but I do have an SF G2 Nitorlon (OD green) and an ARC-AAA P on my keyring. That is an awesome light. I would like to get one of Milkyspit's SF L1 mods though. Some day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I do belong to CP forums too.
I love flashlights. I agree that the G2 SF is a good starter flashlight. My first SF was the original 6P!
I have given many a SF as gifts too. GREAT lights.
If you want small flashlights, I would sugest you look at Fenix lights. I DO LOVE my 2 Arc-P's though. And a Fenix is NOT taking the place of my Arc-P on my truck keys.
