You all know that my Scrapyard DM is my favourite edc knife, for it's size it is arguably the strongest knife you can buy, however it's thick edge is maybe not the best choice for making feather sticks or slicing your tomato's wafer thin when making your campsite sarnies !!!
The other day I happened to stumble upon this little Buck in Wally World, it cost not much more than a Mora, weighs next to nothing, comes hair popping sharp and is perfect for throwing in my PSK and forgetting about until I need it.
I know I may well be dragged into the streets and stoned to death for saying this knowing the strong following on this forum but I much prefer this to a Mora, the handle feels better, it has some jimping on the spine to prevent slipping and I like the deeper belly of the blade.
So while my DM is still my edc, this little slicer is in my kit ready for when some finer tasks are needed !!!<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

the diamondback, right? that's what it's called?

i thin it comes in a folder as well. since it's your slicer, it need not be fixed. the dm is your dedicated sturdy knife.

i've been addicted to my 110 lately.

Pitman, I had similar thoughts concerning a CRKT Dogfish to back up my S6. I love my S6- even before I saw it survive a Noss 'seeing too'!

Looks like a great combo Pit! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Bucks aren't what they used to be but there's still some good ones. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Great find Pitman. I am always happy when I can find a great deal on a decent knife. Just because it may not be a top choice for other folks means nothing if it works for you.

It is always satisfying to pick up a good cheap knife at Walmart. I got a real nice Buck 110 Founders Edition at the check out recently. Made in Idaho. You will never hear me bad mouth Buck. They are a good American company.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Cabelas has these on sale for $7.49 each. I just bought the 3 and 4 inch versions for less than 20 bucks.
