I can't think of a more deserving member or a better knife to give him. POP really likes the big shiny knives like that ATS-34 one he has and his positive attitude has really made an impression on me and apparently a few other forum members.
I think this is a great tradition and really shows what the Yard is really like.
I think POP deserves a lot of credit for making the Yard the place it is.
I am thankful for the chance to show POP how much I admire and respect him.
It would be great if we could get it engraved?

it's already an LE so it has the yard logo, he won't forget where it came from, and i for one wouldn't use an engraved gift.
beside, we can give him a letter or somethin on the side.

beside, we can give him a letter or somethin on the side. If we can get a few extra people in, I would be interested in getting him a proper Rainwalker sheath with an inscription on the back side of it.

i wouldn't feel right adding that to the price. these people volunteered for the price of a dog father le, and though many would be willing, i would hate to force the few who aren't into doing it out of a sensation of guilt/obligation/keeping up appearances. how bout after we break 30, if we do, a cut of the contributions go toward a sheath. i'd say a kydex from dave, as it's functional at a good price, and if we make more than enough, we'll see about fancy leather from either of our star sheath makers.
