Yep, I turned in my resignation. And it felt good.

In one week on of my students brought a gun to class. And another who was a "person of interest" in a murder case involving 4 teens who attend the school I teach at. The "person of interest" decided to follow me around the campus last week and repeatedly threaten me. According to him he was joking.

Since I decided that I wasn't going to finish out the year and have since applied elsewhere, I decided that it wasn't just worth waiting on a job offer. The good news is that I have an interview for the Adult GED program I applied to with the department of corrections.

About the only downside to the day was when I got home and had a beer it had skunked on me. However, since I usually have beer it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Well ideally I'd be a stay at home husband. However, the wife demands that I not only pay off my student loans, but that I also help contribute to our retirement account. Sheesh the nerve she has sometimes.

Good for you, there is no job worth that. Teachers are in demand, get what fits you best.

I've got an interview Thursday for a position in an instutional setting. I like teaching in instutional settings more than the public setting. So well see.

Good luck with the job search. Life is too short to be stuck in a hell-hole like that. The kids these days make me sick. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />
