Had to scrub whatever coating is on it off, first. My first application did NOTHING and I was like... "this is NOT stainless!!" Then I used some gun scrubber on it (spray) and it turned everything milky looking - so I stripped it w/ a stainless steel kitchen scrubber - and then it blued (kinda). Hmmm, wonder why the blue was hard to take? I have a bunch of Brownells epoxy in woodland colors. I will end up doing one of my trams with that for sure.

I don't know what was up w/ the bluing. There MUST be some kind of clearcoat on those Trams...

I don't know what was up w/ the bluing. There MUST be some kind of clearcoat on those Trams... They do have a shilac type camel spit thing going on that I can't quite figure out. I used a green scrubbie on mine and then some goo gone, then some 0000 steel wool and got a nice finish. Still no rust protection though. I will spray then at some point.
