I ride a 2004 H-D FLHRI Road King with the 95 cu in big bore kit and screamin' eagle stage 2 cams. It makes about 80 bhp @ 7000 RPM. Weighs about 790 lbs plus my 280. So, no its not really fast by modern standards. Had it to 120 once. Had it to 110 Sunday on a cruise to Florida. I like it, though. I'm old. Been riding since 1963. Had a Norton Dunstall Dominator in England in 1970. It was fast and handled well, but the brakes sucked.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

V ROSS you were a rocker back in the day! I have a 74 CB350 cafe racer project in the garage. If I had the cash and finished some of my current projects like the Cafe and the 65 Ford I would be working on a hardtailed shovelhead chop. There are a couple really fast Hogs around my town. One old guy just hammers on his full dresser ,I saw sparks come of the saddlebags. There is stripped down Softail that has a monster motor and low enough gearing to take my sportbike off the line.
Kraz that Honda engineering thing is for real I have flogged this bike hard and all that it's needed is basic matinence like oil changes and a bar end weight that fell off and of course a new rear tire. We did not have an Aprilla dealer in sask when I bought it but I could not have afforded one anyway. I got my 02 on the coldest day of winter just before the 03's came out and got a wicked deal. less than 10 grand canadian. The Aprilla 450 is almost 12 and the tuono about double. I was at the Aprilla dealer dealer in Regina and it was a religous experience. The Tuono is not that much better than my 919 but that would be missing the point. The Aprilla's are like a piece of art with the best of everything and thought put into every detail. For example the 450 has a kickstand that looks just like the frame.

V ROSS you were a rocker back in the day! I have a 74 CB350 cafe racer project in the garage... I'm still a rocker. Just an old one. Had a CB 350 when I got back from the war in '68. That little Honda would run over 115 mph! Built a '65 CB 450 into a cafe racer while I was in college. Velocity stacks, hot cams, high compression pistons, megaphone pipes, clip ons. Took the chrome panels off the camel hump gas tank. Filled in and painted silver on black. Sold it to a guy as soon as it was finished. Had some mean sportsters over the years. Thinking about getting a Harley Night Rod.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Nice lookin' HOG there H-D. I really like the color/paint and all the "extras" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> The saddlebags seem large and useful.
