Hi Guys
This is my first post as I am in Scotland I would like to know if anybody out there has ever managed to import one of these bad boys into the U.K given this countries draconian laws regarding anything more dangerous than a foam mallet

jd01,
LOL..
hmm.. Paul the Brit may have more detailed insight into that..

You're not alone mate.. here in my home state of Kalifornia.. there are Laws against buying 4-8 point flat pieces of cheap metal (ninja stars) and cute little Filipino flipping knives, and anything with the words Black & Talon on the package..

yet anybody 18 yrs of age can walk into a sporting goods store and buy a 12-gauge pump shotgun!!

Laws that make you go.. Hmm...

..oh yeah Welcome to the Yard!

Black Talons are the greatest rounds made! I still have a few original boxes of those beast!

JD..I don't know about a the Dog Father but I just sent a smaller Busse to Canterbury....Sturry...something like that.

Called it a "Camp Tool" it went through just fine.

Tony22r, I live in California too.

I hope that it's not against the California state law to buy a Dog Father?

JD01 - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard!!! I have genuine appreciation for your Homeland, as some of my relatives came over from Scotland (Buchanan Clan). And what Clan might you hail from ?

As someone else said, Paul the Brit - fellow Junk Yard Dog and all-around good guy - could provide you with the best information on importation into Britain. I hope to see you posting quite often! Tom

Firstly
Thanks for the warm welcome to the Yard it's great to talk to like minded people .Secondly Gravelface thanks for the guidance and can you tell me how the smaller Busse compared to the Scrapper 6?
The Scrapper may not quite make me drool as much as the DF but it's still more knife than I would need.
Cheers

I've got about a clip and a halfs worth in .45 that I'd gladly trade if someone had the same round in a 9mm.

Did they ever come in 9mm?

lemme check the lists real quick.. ninja stars, nunchucks, asp batons, butterfly/gravity/spring knives, an entire volume of "assault weapons"..

Nope.. IK i think we should be good! now carrying concealed that's a different ball game..

hmm.. good question.. not sure.
Be careful using OLD ammo for carry/self defense. A pump-action Mossberg 12 gauge once Jammed on me!!.. I was using ~6-7 yr old OO-Buckshot.
That was my house gun too! i'm glad it just jammed at the range! ..not when i needed it.
Lesson learned: carry FRESH ammo!

JD...it was a Game Warden....a Scrapper is much better, that is why I got rid of the GW! It was just too small.

360...I don't know if the Black Talon was made in 9mm.....sounds like a good reason to but a .45!

Tony, thankfully I never had a problem with old ammo...I usually shoot surplus ammo for the 50s and 60s....the occasional shoo shoo, but generally good to shoot. I popped off a few of the BTs about a year ago..they fired fine.

Hello jd01, glad to see another Brit in the mix!

So far I've got a S6 and a SS4 in-country without any problems at all.. Patti is good at wrapping stuff up so that the Royal Mail doesn't rip it to bits and lose the contents for you! Items come described as camping goods or camping tools, NOT big scary knife so go straight through customs.. I plan to get the DF when it comes out, even though a S6 is plenty big enough 99.5% of the time. I don't expect problems with it arriving (famous last words!)..

Enjoy the yard and grab a S6 when they return, superb knife- even in our climate! Plus Dan and Patti (and these guys here!) are good folks.
