Ancient damascus steel is really Wootz steel, not folded steel. What we call damascus steel is really folded steel and is not anywhere near the strength of Wootz.

Oh, and I'd rather see a 'hawk or a short leaf bladed sword instead.

ahhh, yeah, i didn't mean damascus the steel, but damascus sword the style. however, it does seem a little too collector-ish and less practical when compared to a tomahawk or axe. i just thought, since there's the ak...

yeah, i definitely cannot wait to see the new stuff that comes out, but first the df!
